Choosing a color scheme can be a daunting endeavor. For example, I tormented on the colors to paint the exterior of my Victorian house, I ordered every book on old house painting, I could find, and I discovered that all contradicted each other on the basis of “rules”. Finally, the color scheme came to me. I want to paint the house with my favorite colors! The front plate of the trim of the window frame is painted in a contrasting color.

Traditionally, Southern porches were painted gray, but I feel the earth, so we painted our porches a deep green. The ground color anchors the porch to the lawn green and hot summer days, cooling is dark green. If the grass is brown in winter, green porches offer the promise of spring green and relieve our gray days. Dark green with some black pigments mixed in a rich green that it looks ordinary.
